FAQ about Lebara
Lebara uses the Sunrise network with 99% population coverage and 5G in all major Swiss cities. Lebara is the Swiss subsidiary of an international MVNO focused on diaspora communities and cheap international calls.
Lebara runs a broad lineup on the Sunrise network, all plans without a minimum term and all with 5G. One thing matters when comparing: only a small part of the lineup is discounted, every other plan costs the full base price. Anyone looking at just the Sale tab on lebara.ch sees a slice, not the offer. Lebara's speciality is cheap calls to home countries such as India, Turkey, the former Yugoslavia, Africa and Latin America. Current prices are in the cards above.
Yes, Lebara supports eSIM. For new customers the eSIM is free, when migrating from physical SIM to eSIM a fee of CHF 40 applies. Setup via QR code over Wi-Fi, no store visit required.
Yes, that's Lebara's USP. Calls to many countries (India, Turkey, former Yugoslavia, Africa, Latin America) are very cheap or included in the plan. Ideal for diaspora communities.

Yes, all Lebara plans include 5G on the Sunrise 5G network.
Both are operators built around international calling. The main difference is the network: Lycamobile runs on Salt, Lebara on Sunrise. Lycamobile is cheaper at entry level, while Lebara offers the smartwatch option with a second SIM. Live prices for both are in the calculator.
