Frequently asked questions

Yes, with providers that have no minimum contract term (e.g. Wingo, Digital Republic, yallo) you can cancel monthly or with 30 days notice. With contract plans (Swisscom, Sunrise, Salt Shop), you must respect the minimum term and notice period.
If you cancel early you usually have to pay the remaining monthly fees until the contract ends. With a special right of cancellation (e.g. price increase) there are no costs.
No, you can take your number with you (number portability). Important: request the port with the new provider before cancelling with the old one. The new provider then handles the cancellation for you.
Number porting and the switch usually take 1 to 3 working days. The cancellation itself takes effect on the next possible date, depending on your notice period.
Your old plan is deactivated on the cancellation date. If you have a subsidised device, you may have to pay the remaining balance. Returning the SIM is usually not necessary.
