Is Migros Mobile worth it?

Yes, if you want the Swisscom network without the Swisscom price. Migros Mobile runs a strategy that has become rare in the market: four clear plans, all at a fixed permanent price, with no promo games. What's on the menu today, you'll still pay in two years. Swiss Max is currently the cheapest unlimited plan on the Swisscom network. On top of that: Cumulus points on the monthly fee, advice in Migros stores, and a monthly contract with no commitment.

Who is Migros Mobile for?

For everyone who mainly surfs and calls within Switzerland and values the best coverage. Swiss Start is enough for occasional users, Swiss Classic covers everyday use with 10 GB, Swiss Max is the flat rate for heavy users. Anyone travelling regularly in the EU should take Swiss Travel with 10 GB EU/UK roaming and 100 international minutes. For frequent travellers outside Europe, the range is too narrow, providers with large roaming packages are the better choice there.

Migros Mobile weaknesses, honestly

The roaming offer ends at 10 GB EU/UK, international zones are missing. There is no family discount pool. And anyone looking to save the absolute maximum will find nominally cheaper unlimited plans on the Salt and Sunrise networks, but without Swisscom coverage. There is no dedicated Trustpilot or Google profile for Migros Mobile, so our assessment rests on the plan facts and network quality. The current prices of all four plans are shown in the cards above, checked daily.

FAQ about Migros Mobile

Migros Mobile uses the Swisscom network, Switzerland's best coverage with over 99% population coverage and 5G in every Swiss city. Network quality is identical to a direct Swisscom plan, but the price is up to 80% lower.
Migros Mobile offers 4 plans, all contract-free: Swiss Start (5 GB) from CHF 13.95/month, Swiss Classic (10 GB) from CHF 17.95/month, Swiss Max (unlimited) from CHF 25.95/month, and Swiss Travel (unlimited + 10 GB EU/UK) from CHF 29.95/month.
Yes, all Migros Mobile plans include 5G access. Migros Mobile uses the Swisscom 5G network, available in all major Swiss cities.
From the Swiss Classic plan (CHF 17.95), 1 GB EU/UK roaming is included. The Swiss Travel plan (CHF 29.95) offers 10 GB EU/UK data plus 100 minutes. The cheapest plan, Swiss Start, has no EU roaming. For regular travel, the Travel plan is the best fit.
Calls from Switzerland to Germany depend on the chosen plan. EU calls are included in the Swiss Travel plan (100 minutes). On the other plans, international calls are billed at standard rates, typically CHF 0.30 to 0.50 per minute.
Migros Mobile does not offer a classic family discount pool. For multiple plans in one family, look at alternatives such as Digital Republic Friends Flat (3+ people from CHF 11.70/month) or spusu Family tariffs.
Three main benefits: 1) Swisscom network at MVNO pricing (60-80% cheaper than Swisscom itself). 2) Cumulus points on the monthly bill. 3) Advice and help directly in Migros stores across Switzerland, on top of online support.
Yes, porting your number to Migros Mobile is free and takes 1 to 3 business days. The port is requested when signing up for the new plan, the previous provider is cancelled automatically.
Migros Mobile (MVNO on Swisscom) and M-Budget Mobile (owned by Migros) are two separate brands: M-Budget is the discount line for light users, Migros Mobile offers more data and features. Wingo (Swisscom subsidiary) sits at similar pricing with different plan structures. For unlimited usage, Wingo Swiss Plus is often cheaper than Migros Swiss Max.
Yes. Migros Mobile is part of the Migros group, one of Switzerland's largest and most trusted retailers. Advice is given directly in Migros stores, contracts and invoicing run through Migros.
